You may have seen my original nursery reveal with the Land of Nod a few weeks ago. I was (am) so excited to fill baby’s nursery with so many adorable Land of Nod items.
I just love their kid stuff – so whimsical and fun, yet some items are classy enough for an adult room too. It was especially thrilling to order through Land of Nod because they’re one of few places who actually ship to Canada.
Yep, it can be a lonely, design deprived life up here north of the border where many companies can’t be bothered to deal with customs and border crossings (I don’t blame them). I’m so thankful Land of Nod has opened their shipping borders though and included us up in the north! It can be hard to get cute, design-y items, so it’s such a relief that there are online options for us.
Since originally posting my nursery reveal, I have made a couple slight changes that I wanted to share with you so you could see the nursery in its final state.
The main change was on the north wall. Before it was quite bare, but I added some picture rails to use as shelving for the board books we got at squirrelly baby’s shower (we asked for books instead of cards). I envision it as the perfect place to snuggle up with squirrelly baby on the chair, or later in the teepee, and read a book together.
We also created a mobile. I searched for months for the perfect mobile but nothing really called out to me. Then, upon seeing some plush kitties, I decided that was it! I purchased a few items from Etsy, made a couple plush clouds and got assembling. Sure, it doesn’t totally go with our subtle stars and space theme (hey we weren’t actually planning a theme) but cats are awesome so it works by default. With the cats, clouds, and colourful yarn balls, I fondly name the mobile “dreaming of kitties”.
Along with the Moon Phase Art Print and triangle pillow and Bump Photos I posted last month, those are the main adjustments! I’m so happy with this room and spend as much time as I can in it with our squirrelly baby. I kind of want to camp out here, and may just do that when baby adjust to crib sleeping.
