Because I’m bound for a ridiculously hot and uncomfortable summer due to my expanding belly, I need refreshments to help me through it. Last time we made a gin based cocktail and mocktail. This time, it’s brandy turn.
Even when I can drink, brandy is usually not my first choice, but I did try the mocktail version and it’s made me want to give it a go. Actually truth time, I got confused and took a sip of the brandy version by accident (WHOOPS!). I obviously quickly stopped drinking, but I tasted enough to tell you that the cocktail is darn good.
The drink is based off a buck’s fizz, which is basically a weaker mimosa. The mister (aka cocktail slinger) thought it needed to be boozier, hence the brandy. Besides, it created the best name ever that no doubt Merry Brandybuck would enjoy (….any Lord of the Rings fans? …no?)

You guys this looks amazing! I’m also not a brandy fan, but combined with the prosecco and the lemon juice, perhaps I can be tempted!!
