I set up my “inspiration wall” about 10 months ago and it hasn’t changed much since. It’s boring, lacks character, and more importantly, LACKS INSPIRATION!
I don’t know what it is. Call it ironic if you’d like, but I just can’t get inspired to put love into my inspiration wall. I understand the idea of an inspiration wall is to put items up that make you feel inspired, but when you don’t like how it currently looks and don’t care about it, how can you get inspired to make it look better? I know I should and it boggles my mind that I’ve left it so ugly for so long.
To help get the inspiration I need to revamp this wall, I’m posting up some images to get me rolling.
Along with these lovely images, I’d love to hear any ideas you might have. As I type from the computer against the lacklustre wall that needs oh so much help, I ask you,
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tana, thanks for stopping by my blog with your lovely comments. I’ve got to say, coming from a person who struggles with envy of some goegeous inspiration walls such like the ones you’ve posted, I think it comes down to a few things. First, pick a theme and focus to funnel your vision and decrease the pressure of the final product. What inspires you on a daily basis? Anything from postcards to pretty photos on Etsy to magazine clippings to vintage recipe cards. Second, pick a “glue” that will hold it all together. Japanese patterned masking tape is great because it doesn’t hurt your walls. Clothespins like you already posted. Or dangling string. And lastly, just have fun and think of it more as a scrapbook first then gather what you collect and turn it into wall art! Hope that helps 😉

I love the clipboard idea. I’m a sucker for symmetry. It seems like it would be super easy and cost effective too. Plus, you almost have built in frames for items fo any size.

Yes! I actually nearly bought a few mini clipboards the other week to put on my inspiration wall, but backed out because I was overwhelmed (the store was insane) and figured I could go back for them

Love the washi tape idea. I’ve been wondering where to buy this in yyj?
Another idea is to create your big dreams list and find items to signify those dreams…have fun!
