Last week I talked about wedding cakes (and my loathing for fondant) and this week it’s all about dessert tables. Yes I just can’t get enough of desserts when it comes to wedding planning. It’s the tasiest and possibly most stress-free part of the whole process!
Luxe Finds: I love how cheery this table is, and the adorable heart garland above it just makes it that much sweeter.
I mentioned how we will have a small cake to cut into, and then a dessert table with lots of other little treats to satisfy everyone’s sweet teeth (come on we all have more that one tooth that craves sugar).
The more I search on Pinterest or 100 Layer Cake for dessert table inspiration, the more excited I get about not just what sweets our grubby little hands can get a hold of, but the adorable details our excited little eyes will feast upon. It seems that in modern weddings, the dessert table is where all the attention is directed, and that’s fine by me folks.
Jenny Cookies: Anytime lace, burlap and rustic wood is incorporated I’m happy
Sugar and Spice: The pastel colours just make this so sweet and innocent.
One Love Photo: Yes I’ll admit cupcakes are overdone. But gourmet donuts? Yes please!
Rustic Wedding Chic: (original source not found. If you have the original link please send it my way). My fiance originally wanted a bunch of pies baked by his grandma for our wedding. Unfortunately our guest list is a little too large for this to be a reality, but we my certainly have a few pies on the table.
Real Wedding at Style Me Pretty: I just love the dramatic backdrop.

These dessert tables are gorgeous! My favorite is the pastel one. I went to a wedding a few years ago and they had a candy bar… large decorative glass vases/jars, each containing a different type of candy. They had scoops and bags so everyone could take a bag home with them and it was a huge hit!

Love them all! My favourite is the one with the suitcases and stacked boxes 🙂 And the PIES. We never did a full pie party (even though you did make that delicious upgraded-to-first-class-pie). I think we should!
Also, I have 3 of those glass apothecary jars so if you wanted to go that route, you can borrow them.

Hah I don’t believe I’ve made that pie since! We really ought to have a pie party. They’re so yummy.
Actually I saw a recipe (and I’m posting it Tuesday) for pie pops. How neat is that!?
Thanks! Once we decide exactly what we’re doing I’ll let you know 🙂
