Imagine this, it’s December 28th, 2010. You’re at the beach dressed in thin fabric and are asked to lie in the freezing cold pacific ocean. Do you do it?
yes!
For the sake of art, me and Crystal‘s sister Holly risked hypothermia and lost limbs to create these stunning, ethereal images of mermaids stranded on shore.
It was so incredibly difficult to choose my favourites from this photo shoot. I love them ALL. So to see the rest of the photo shoot check the rest out here on Crystal’s site.
Not being able to feel my limbs at the end of this shoot was worth it, don’t you think?
One of the neatest things about being involved with Crystal’s photo shoots is that after the pictures are taken and edited, the creativity doesn’t stop there. Crystal just finished this 8 foot tall drawing of me based on the Sirens photoshoot:

Wow, that’s gorgeous. I love all the pictures, but I REALLY liked the drawing. It’s fantastic.

Is t it lovely? I’d hang it on my wall if it weren’t so narcissistic. And slightly creepy to stare at an 8ft drawing of myself all day…

Wow, gorgeous! Definitely worth risking hypothermia! 🙂
