Well hey there friend! I know, I’ve taken probably the longest hiatus ever from Squirrelly Minds. But like I said before, I’m not gone, just not around as consistently as before. But I couldn’t help but pop on here to show you my bathroom makeover inspiration! Yep, after over 5 years of living in this house, we are FINALLY redoing our teeny tiny main level bathroom. My goodness this is long overdue.
For reasons I can’t share just yet (I know I’m such a tease) we can’t do any major improvements at the moment. Right now we are focusing on cosmetic upgrades and working with what we have. The neutral grey and white palette with hints of pink isn’t overly imaginative. Don’t expect anything too forward thinking from me on this makeover! A few notes on the above inspiration board – we have that paint colour in our living room and it is seriously the most reliable grey paint I have ever found. Also, if you saw my insta stories yesterday, you’ll know I was debating whether to put in this light fixture. We’ll see if it works…
As I mentioned earlier, our bathroom is tiny (5×7 people, FIVE BY SEVEN) so we have to get a bit crafty with space. Here’s a wee bit of tiny bathroom inspiration I’m drawing from.
I have a pretty good idea how the bathroom will look when complete, which will be soon, and I’ll be sure to share the process with you all. Stay tuned!

Nice look. I think I have some of the same images pinned for the work we want to do on our bathroom.

Hah we have similar style! I’m excited to see what you guys do.

I love your style! The mosaic tiles look amazing on the bathroom floor! The only thing I would worry about is cleaning the grout, because that’s a lot of grout. The rugs are also insanely cool, I usually avoid placing rugs in our bathroom, because there’s a lot of condensation and they stay soggy all the time.

Isn’t it stunning? But yes grout is definitely a factor! We have tile in our downstairs bathroom but it’s been ok. Mind you, it doesn’t get used nearly as much. We’ve opted for vinyl plank for the upstairs bathroom. Oh we always use rugs. After every shower/bath we hang it on the shower curtain rod and have the fan going to dry it out, and we wash and dry it once a week.

Hi Tan, The mosaic tiles look astonishing on the restroom floor! The main thing I would stress over is cleaning the grout since that is a ton of grout. The floor coverings are likewise madly cool, I, for the most part, abstain from putting mats in our washroom, on the grounds that there’s a great deal of buildup.
