Yes I am finally showing you photos from our honeymoon in Morocco (with a stint in Brighton UK). We took nearly 2000 photos so I’ll save you from boredom and not share all of those. I will show them in chunks over the next few Thursdays, divided into these sections:
The Culture (food, crafts and medinas)
The Portraits (Ryan and I on being Moroccan)
The Textures (up close and unique shots of a unique world)
Let’s get started
When we told people we were going to Morocco for our honeymoon,
9/10 the immediate following question was
…..why Morocco?….
We wanted to go somewhere we would experience a culture we haven’t been exposed to. We didn’t want to simply lie on a beach for two weeks.
We wanted to get thrown into another world.
After talking to friends who had been and fallen in love, it was decided.
And Morocco really was the best place to celebrate our love.
You don’t go to Morocco to find love, you go to fall in love with the culture, the food, the call to prayer, the cooing doves, the bright colours, the winding narrow streets. And if you go with the person you love, you learn to fall in love with your new experiences together, and with each other even more.As for “Why Brighton?”. We had a couple days in the UK before we headed home, and every honeymoon needs a bit of beach time right?

How did you like the smell of that tannery in Fez? 😉
Tan says
I take it you’ve been? (who could forget that smell). Thankfully the fistful of min they gave us eased the stench a tad

Haha! Yes, I went in 2007. The smell is burned into my mind. We had no mint filter!
