The Last Show, a fitting photo shoot name for the last post of the Crystal Smith Art Series.
Crystal and her sister Holly (featured in last weeks Mermaid photo shoot) worked for months prior to this shoot scavenging thrift shops to collect costumes and props for the perfect look. The result? A simultaneously fun and sad photo collection of clowns, acrobats, a strongman, a bearded lady, a ballerina and, of course, the ringmaster.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you, the members of the Sad Circus:
Can you spot me? Hint: I’m wearing my pointe shoes

Crystal’s explanation of the idea behind The Last Show:

It is a portrait of circus performers after their very last closing show. Melancholy and sad, the breaking up of a family.

So there you have it, the last installment of the Crystal Smith art series.
