Niki and the Dove came up in the suggestions feed on youtube when I was listening to other music. With their peppy beat and stomping drums I was immediately hooked.
Niki and the Dove was formed in 2010 by Swedish duo Malin Dahlström (vocals) and Gustaf Karlöf (production). Labeled as ‘indietronica’, Niki and the Dove has one released studio album in 2012 named Instinct.

Everyone has a band that does this to them. The music comes on, your head starts to bob slightly, the beat channels down your torso which swivels back and forth in time to the music, and before you know it you’re full on dancing and singing along in vocals possibly far out of your range, but you don’t care because it’s just so damn good. That is Niki and the Dove for me.
