You know that runners high people talk about? Yeah, I’ve never experienced that. The furniture hunting high on the other hand is something I’ve had many a times.
When the mister and I hunt for furniture, the furniture store is generally the last place we look. First, we always turn to websites where people sell items, and we’ve always had a crazy amount of luck. From scoring a 9×15 authentic moroccan rug for $300 (easily worth in the thousands) to barcelona chairs on the side of the road for free, we’ve always come across amazing deals – but it’s not without work. We hunt, and by hunt, I mean when we decide we need an item, we scour these websites every day, multiple times a day, until we find the perfect item. And the perfect item doesn’t always look perfect when we buy/grab it.
I’m over on the Used Everywhere blog sharing my tips and tricks on buying used furniture and how to bring it back to life. Starting off with knowing how to spot good quality right down to how you can hide scratches and other flaws, come on over to see some items we got for free or super cheap, and how we turned them into gems.
