Ahhhh summer. Time to set up temporary shelter and sleep in the great outdoors! Personally, I’m having a hard enough time sleeping on a very comfy mattress with this bulging belly, so I won’t be camping this season (sad face). Instead I’ll have to live vicariously through you.
Maybe you’re more prepared than I, but whenever I go camping I always manage to forget something. Whether it’s soap, paper towels, or an axe, whatever I forget turns out to be a big deal when out in the middle of nowhere. I figured I couldn’t be the only forgetful camper, so I created a little checklist (based off this guide) to help you keep tabs on what to pack when you’re getting ready for your evening(s) of roughing it outdoors.
Of course it’s just a guide. If you’re just camping down the road you won’t need a flare gun, but it’s a helpful list to check over and make sure you’ve got your necessities. Plus it includes a little watercolour by yours truly!

And have a FANTASTIC time camping!
My favourite camping spot is Sombrio beach. It’s over a kilometre hike in (‘easy 10 minutes’ on the website is a lie) and is in bear country, but the incredible night sky is well worth the trek. One special camping trip I even woke up to giant humpback whales migrating south. No words can describe that feeling.

Thank you! So darling, I saved it. We’ll be camping in September and now I’ll have the cutest checklist ever!
