Providing we went to school on the usual first day back after labour day, today marks the 25th year when I first met my bff. Yes, we’ve known each other for 25 years and have been inseparable best friends for 20 of those.
Our friendship is unique – there aren’t many people who remain in the same place for so long, let alone maintain the same friends. Through those 25 years we’ve gone through every triumph, heart ache, hearts bursting with joy and amazing life changing events together, and I know we’ll continue to do so for another 25, 50 (and if science is advanced enough) 75 years.
Tonight we’ll celebrate our silver friendaversary with dinner. Because friendships deserve to be celebrated.

I also love how our lives can get busy, and sometimes a week or two can pass without chatting, but we can always pick up where we left off!
