Foggy, wispy, airy – to me, these words immediately conjur images and feelings of ethereal. Another world of mystery, slow graceful movement and a forever twilight.
I’m going to let you in on a little secret. My name Tanya is Russian, derived from Tatiana which means queen of the faeries. Well into my teen years I was obsessed with faeries. Obsessed. I poured over Brian Froud books (this is my fave) and wondered what it would be like to be whisked away to their ethereal land.
While I no longer try to look out of the corner of my eye to see if I can spot one of the winged creatures (see? obsessed) I do still love the idea of a being that is so light, airy, and out of this world. Something about these creatures and an ethereal existence makes me want to nap and be carried off into dreamland.
Elsewhere this week: Check out my curated article on Diggit. It’s time for a picnic! Have a lovely weekend friends.

I too was obsessed by faeries and I still have my Brian Froud books! I still love all things ethereal and foggy and wispy.
