When it came time to plan the flowers for our wedding I used words like “fuzzy” (lambs ear) or “petal-full” (peony) to describe what I wanted. Not exactly the best descriptions.
Needless to say I learned a lot about flowers in those few months of planning, but it would have been much easier had these incredible guides been around at the time. Trust me, they’re certainly helpful now for other events!
I hope these guides make your floral planning easier than mine.
We chose to have local and in season florals for our wedding, which means we couldn’t have my beloved peonies as they’re in season in June, not August. Instead we had cabbage roses and they’re a huge favourite of mine now.

Talk about eye candy! I love all of these images, and I love flowers. Peonies are my favorite, and when they were in season I bought a bouquet every week because they’re gone so quickly.

Beautiful! I’m not sure if I could pick a favorite!

Gorgeous! Peonies are my favorite. I also love dendrobiums as my grandmother used to grow them in Hawaii. I need to buy fresh flowers for our house more often!
