I refuse to call it glamping. That’s such an ugly mish mash of word. I also just have a weird distrust of the word glam. I can’t explain.Whatever you want to call it you can’t deny it has been quite the fad for the last little while. And why not? Camping is such a great way to get outside and enjoy the sounds, smells and sights of nature. Why does one need to do so while sleeping on an uncomfortable foam mat in a nylon tent that is incredibly cold at night and humid and hot the next morning?
I went once on a family vacation in a yurt and would recommend it over and over. The hybrid of home comforts under walls that shake against the wind is a fun experience anyone (even my traditional and picky parents) would enjoy .
Here are some of the most beautiful ways you can go camping in your beautiful tent.

Have you ever gone camping in a yurt or a beautiful tent?
What was your experience?

That’s camping I could actually get down with. I won’t have it any other way. Sadly, I haven’t gone on one of these trips but would love to do so

Perhaps we could call it luxurious camping?
For our mini-moon, my husband and I stayed in the tent cabins at Rock Water Secret Cove Resort – at it was awesome. I would say it was my favorite place I’ve ever stayed – with all the convinences of a fancy hotel with a campy feel and location. It was seriously awesome. To see some pictures, check out my post on it here.

I haven’t but I’m not into it… I need to have everything contained within the rooms and all the commodities of modern world… Ha!

@Rooth: There we go! It’s just a matter of finding the right balance ๐
@Adina: Wow! I could easily do a weekend there. Going on my ‘To Go’ list!
@Ellie: lol that’s fair!

Oooh, love these fancy tents! We took the girls camping overnight last year in a tent trailer we borrowed from our in laws… it was really fun but I think with kids I have a one night camping limit. ๐

lol yes camping with little ones definitely needs a time limit!
