Last week I introduced you to Crystal Smith, my lovely artist friend who never ceases to amaze and inspire me. The interview gave an insight into the mind of the woman who creates beautiful artwork, my favourites of which are up on last week’s post.
Starting today and for the next 3 weeks, we will shift from her artwork to her photography.
This week – nomads.
After around a year of creating the elaborate costumes for this mystical piece, Crystal rounded up some friends and a pickup truck to create one of her favourite and most nostalgic photoshoots. Here’s her input on the drive behind it:
This photoshoot was all about creating clothing that incorporated traditional nomadic styles, fabrics and colors together with a few modern ideas. Throw it all in the back of a pickup truck and you’ve got some strong travelling women.
Here are my favourites from Nomads
What thoughts/feelings do these images conjure for you?
Come back next week for my first photoshoot with Crystal – murder scenes
