For a long time I didn’t think I would wear a veil on my wedding day. It was just another unnecessary cost that could be best used elsewhere. The other day I realized, this is the only day I will ever wear a veil (aside form my communion when I was 6), so why shouldn’t I?
Is it still unnecessary? Yes. But it’s tradition, and I’m a sucker for tradition.
