Yep it’s official! Yesterday was the first day of autumn. Does it feel like it where you are? It poured all day yesterday, making our recent memories of hot summer sun feel like a lifetime ago.
But I must admit, as much as I love the long summer days, nothing beats pulling old the old slow cooker and coming home to a fragrant, cozy autumn meal. Yes, I realize most of these recipes are pumpkin based, and as much as I love pumpkin, I am not the 6th spice girl. But this bright orange gourd is quintessentially autumn, and is the perfect feature to any autumn meal.
And if you want a nice beverage to warm you up, this Harvest Pear Latte is still one of my faves.
