I’m so excited to be guest posting on Squirrelly Minds today. Tan’s blog has been a favorite of mine for sometime. My name is Katie and I’m from the lifestyle blog, Twin Stripe. Today I will be sharing a fun, salty hostess gift and my signature margarita recipe.
Whether you are heading to a Mexican fiesta or a backyard BBQ, often times a small hostess gift is all you need. Luckily, there is no need to break the bank on a gift. Pick up a can of coarse sea salt and small resealable jar and put together gifts of margarita salt. When the jar is full, add a tiny spoon, bright ribbon and a colorful label. I created these simple lime tags to easily hang on a bottle of margarita salt. Download the printable here.
Katie’s Signature Margarita – Makes one cocktail.
Juice of 1.5 limes
1.5 oz silver tequila
.5 oz triple sec
Shake up the ingredients with a few ice cubes so the margarita becomes cold. Serve the drink over ice and a salted rim. Enjoy on a patio, preferably with chips and salsa. Ole!
