Flowers I love/hate

Wow. I apologize for completely neglecting Wednesday Wedding Inspiration! I won’t let that happen again.
Today’s topic: flowers.
Our planner/florist suggested we make a file (or in my case a pinterest folder) labelled ‘flowers I love’ and one labelled ‘flowers I hate’. She said it’s a good idea to know what you don’t like just as much as what you do. And to be honest, it’s kind of fun collecting images of things I in no way want in the wedding.
Keep in mind, my ‘flowers i hate’ is in no means a way to insult those who like that style. Given the right wedding I’m sure they would look fantastic. It’s just not for us.

And so I give you, the flowers I love and the flowers I hate.

Road Side Find

I always hear of people finding these amazing pieces on the side of the road – a great vintage furniture piece, mirrors, frames. Whatever they find, I always thought “why do I only see disgusting mattresses or green leather couches circa 1985?”. Tonight I finally lucked out on a mega road side find. Behold, the old-school school chair:

This will look fantastic in my one day craft room.

Happy Yanksgiving!

Yes, yanksgiving! Up in Canada we celebrate thanksgiving on the second Monday of October, so ours has long come and gone. But I love thanksgiving – I love the cozy feeling of staying inside while it’s storming outside, I love reflecting on all the things and people you are grateful to have in your life, I love spending time with friends and family, and I love the food. So this year, we decided to also have a thanksgiving dinner on the fourth Thursday of November and name it Yanksgiving. The only difference? No two days off. Or black Friday. Okay maybe two. Black Friday would be really nice…

I hope you all enjoy your good eats and love!
